Apparently if you have or had a VR Set like Oculus Quest 2, Destiny 2 picks up the voice chat audio on the headset and the game audio on whatever device you're currently using, a solution to this, is uninstalling the oculus vr in the audio devices in your Control Panel Devices that fixes the problem, at least for me.
